It all started with a field trip to the local planetarium when I first thought how cool would be if the whole class was transported to a magical land. Yes, I was that nerdy kid growing up.

It wasn’t until years later at film school that I finally decided to develop this small idea into a feature screenplay.

After three years of development, extensive notes and coverage by industry professionals and friends, the Lost Kids was finally taking shape as a viable, well reviewed feature.

That was until two creative execs I had the privilege to work for told me the same thing: story is quite entertaining and engaging, lovable characters and witty dialogue but it should first find a place in another medium.

Which brings us here, to the Lost Kids: Seeking Samarkand comic mini-series.

I was always into comics since I was about eleven, so it seemed only natural I’d pursue this venue as an alternative platform for my screenplay. I was then fortunate enough to have the amazing illustrator Guilherme "Guma" Oliveira crank up character concepts and the overall look for the project.

What you will find on this website are early art concepts and the original screenplay available for download which will comprise the first twelve issues, our first “season”.
